Supermarket chain will be associate sponsors for Penske entries next year
After being a part of Andretti Autosport for several seasons, Midwest supermarket chain Meijer will be running with Team Penske in the 2011 IZOD IndyCar Series championship.
According to a press release from Penske Racing, Coca-Cola will have an “integrated role” to play in the partnership between Meijer and Penske. Meijer will also become associate sponsors on all three Team Penske entries (Will Power, Helio Castroneves and Ryan Briscoe), with a “major associate” program for Power’s No. 12 machine.
