Takuma Sato’s move to Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing for the 2012 IZOD IndyCar Series championship is now official, with Honda Motorsports announcing the deal this morning according to the Associated Press.
The former Formula One racer will enter his third season in IndyCar after spending the last two with KV Racing Technology, where he earned two poles, three top-5s and eight top-10s. He claimed 13th place in the 2011 standings.
