Everybody in the IZOD IndyCar Series has had to adapt to the new Dallara DW12. But most of the time, we tend to think of “everybody” as the teams, the drivers, and the fans at large.
With that said, let’s not forget that the tech inspection crew for the series — the group that ensures that every DW12 is running on the up-and-up before and after each race — has been getting used to this machine as well. In fact, INDYCAR tech director Kevin ‘Rocket’ Blanch and his team had to create an entirely new tech pad to accommodate the DW12 for its inspections.
