Twitter reports from IZOD IndyCar Series teams, as well as Planet-IRL.com’s Stephanie Wallcraft and Trackside Online, are reporting that pre-race ceremonies have been cancelled to speed up the start of the Honda Grand Prix of St. Petersburg. However, the start of the event is still delayed to at least 4 p.m. ET — TSO reports a start possibly coming between 4-4:30 p.m., while Panther Racing is saying 4:30-4:45.

UPDATE (3 p.m. ET): The IRL’s official Twitter account is saying that race control is indicating a possible start between 4:30 and 4:45 p.m. ET.
UPDATE (3:03 p.m. ET): TSO is now saying the start is planned for 4:30 p.m. ET.
