For the second year in a row, forty entries have been filed for the Indianapolis 500-Mile Race.
This year’s event will feature four former Indy winners (Helio Castroneves, Scott Dixon, Dario Franchitti, Dan Wheldon) and IZOD IndyCar Series champions (Dixon, Franchitti, Tony Kanaan, Wheldon), as well as a rookie class of six drivers. As of now, thirty-four drivers have been named to the forty entries.
Among the “TBA” contingent on the entry list are two additional entries from Dreyer and Reinbold Racing (the No. 23/23T and No. 25/25T), and single additional entries from A.J. Foyt Racing (the No. 16/16T), Rahal Letterman Racing (the No. 17/17T), AFS Racing (No. 27), and Team 3G (No. 98/98T).
