A word from the management

Back when I started Indy Racing Revolution in the winter of 2007, I was a student at Northeastern University in Boston, Massachusetts. I had been a fan of auto racing for several years, but I also knew that I wanted to one day cover it regularly.

This started to become a single-minded focus for me, and while I was grateful to my classmate Evan Brunell for letting me write about the Indy Racing League for his Most Valuable Network, I must admit that I saw the blog as simply a means to an end. Once I had realized my dream – to make a living out of what I love – I would stop and either hand the blog over to someone else or have Evan kill it off.

Three years have passed and unfortunately, my quest to make a living out of journalism continues. There have been many changes in my life during this time frame. Some have been good and some have been bad. One of the few constants has been this blog.

Yet, because of this blog, one more change has occurred: I no longer see it as a mere stepping stone to something bigger. As it has become a part of the IndyCar community, it has become a part of me. What’s more, I’ve made so many new friendships in person and online because of it.

I can’t tell you how wonderful it is to be part of such a passionate fraternity. Some of us may have never met in person, but we still care about one another. Their support has helped sustain me through tough times and I’m forever grateful to them.

It is my greatest hope that they, and IndyCar fans from around the world, come to know the new Indy Racing Revolution as a valuable resource for information and opinion about American open-wheel racing. But I ask all of you: Please don’t forget to comment on my reports and throw your two cents in, whether you agree with my thoughts or not. It is my belief that the sport is stronger when fans are freely trading their ideas.

Please thank Bloguin by visiting their diverse network of sports blogs and showing your support for those, too. I’m sure you’ll find something to enjoy. Finally, if you have any ideas on how to make the site better, just get in touch with me. I want this blog to be amongst the best of its kind…And I’m going to need your help to reach that goal.

Thank you for your support over the last three years. I hope you enjoy Indy Racing Revolution’s new home!
