We’re up early today for the start of the season-opening Sao Paulo Indy 300 weekend. Today’s first practice session (90 minutes) begins at 7 a.m. ET, followed by an hour-long practice later this morning at 10:30 a.m. ET. Those sessions will set the stage for IZOD IndyCar Series qualifying at 1:30 p.m. ET this afternoon. Versus will pick up the action on television starting at 2 p.m. ET, but IndyCar.com will carry all of the action live as well.
Finally, tomorrow will see the IRL make its South American debut with the 75-lap main event on the 2.6-mile Sao Paulo circuit. Race coverage starts at 11 a.m. ET on IMS Radio Network stations and 11:30 a.m. ET on Versus. IndyCar.com will also carry the event through its free Race Control feature and IMSRN audio streaming. But just in case you’re unable to be near a TV or a laptop, here’s the radio affiliate list for this weekend so you can try and pick it up on your travels.
And, of course, you can also follow the action right here on IndyRacingRevolution.com. I’ll be posting updates throughout the weekend and will also live-blog the race on Sunday. Look for it to begin around 11:30-11:45 a.m. ET.
It’s 7 a.m. and the IndyCars are heading for the track! The wait is finally over!
