Over the weekend, we saw a bit of driver movement for Saturday night’s season finale for the IZOD IndyCar Series at Homestead-Miami Speedway.
Ana Beatriz will make her fourth start of the season for Dreyer and Reinbold Racing in the No. 24 Roll Coater machine. That means Mike Conway, the No. 24’s regular driver, will have to wait until 2011 to make his return to action.
Conway has been rehabbing from multiple injuries sustained in a last-lap crash at the Indianapolis 500 this past May. DRR said in a press release that he will be at Homestead to support the team.
Meanwhile, Colombian native Sebastian Saavedra will drive for Conquest Racing in Saturday’s event. According to a report on Colombian radio (which was caught by our buddy Tony Johns over at Pop Off Valve), Derrick Walker will also be a part of Saavedra’s program in South Florida.
