Happy Thanksgiving!

There’s a lot to be thankful for in the IndyCar world. While the sport is far from perfect, its rehabilitation has definitely accelerated in recent months. One year ago, who would have thought that the series would have head-to-head-to-head engine competition to look forward to, a title sponsor that actually believes in the concept of activation, and a leader determined to look under every proverbial rock for any little thing that can help the cause?

Sure, 2012 isn’t for a little while longer. But the buzz is starting to come back to American open-wheel racing. Pretty cool, huh?

I’ve got a lot to be thankful for as well. Moving to New Mexico has allowed me to regroup — I simply needed to get away from the East for a little while. My Dad and I have caught up and it’s been great to have him as a friend and a guide again. And I’ve gotten to meet a lot of other new people, too. Life, like the sport, is far from perfect. But a semblance of stability is emerging and that’s something I haven’t really had for a few years, honestly.

Oh, and of course, I’m thankful that all of you are still reading my blog after four seasons. It is a honor and a privilege to serve you guys and gals, the most loyal motorsports fans in the world. Keep doing what you do and I’ll keep doing what I do.

With that, I wish all of you a very Happy Thanksgiving and a wonderful Christmas/Holiday season.

Sincerely,
Christopher Estrada
