British driver Justin Wilson will return to Dreyer and Reinbold Racing in 2011. Wilson, a native of Sheffield, England, notched eight top-5 finishes and a pole in his first campaign for DRR last season.
In a statement posted on his official web site, Wilson said that it was “really exciting” to re-up with the team.
“We put some strong foundations in place for 2010 and we’ve got big ambitions for 2011,” he continues in the release. “Agreeing things early means we can work hard on building our program during the off-season and hit the ground running next year.”
Before signing with DRR, Wilson had been considered one of the bigger free agents in this year’s Silly Season alongside Tony Kanaan, Graham Rahal and Dan Wheldon. He had been linked to multiple squads, including Panther Racing and KV Racing Technology.
