Planet-IRL’s Paul Dalbey and Stephanie Wallcraft’s latest articles have been quite entertaining in the come-down from Sunday’s wild season opener for the IZOD IndyCar Series, Dalbey, a proud oval fan, is asking for buffalo sauce with that pile of crow he’s getting served up after the Sao Paulo street course produced a great race. Meanwhile, Wallcraft, a supporter of street racing, is hailing Sunday’s event as a great success

Yahoo Sports focused on the “Murphy’s Law” aspects that warped the Sao Paulo Indy 300 weekend into a crazy mess. Somebody might want to tell writer Nick Bromberg that Turn 1 was a chicane, not a hairpin…

The Versus-DirecTV standoff ended peacefully, with Versus going back on the DTV lineup last night. While IZOD IndyCar Series followers win with this, so does the much bigger fanbase of the National Hockey League, which is in the stretch run to the Stanley Cup Playoffs. We’ll stick with Yahoo Sports and go to their Puck Daddy blog for thoughts on the truce from the hockey side of things.
