Will Power continues to pace the time charts, throwing down the fastest lap of the weekend in this morning’s practice session for the IZOD IndyCar Series in St. Petersburg, Florida. The driver of the No. 12 Verizon machine ran a lap of 62.1206 seconds around the 1.8-mile temporary street course, and it was enough to beat E.J .Viso, Ryan Briscoe, Justin Wilson and Scott Dixon for P1 honors.
Qualifying for the Honda Grand Prix of St. Petersburg will take place later today at 1:20 ET. IndyCar.com will carry coverage through its Race Control multimedia feature.
