The 2012 IndyCar project continues to progress as a mock-up got its first driver fitting this week. KV Racing Technology pilot E.J. Viso did the honors. Check out IndyCar.com for more details and a link to a video of Viso’s visit to the Dallara facility in Italy.

As you can probably guess, the majority of IndyCar news this afternoon is focused on the departure of Tony Kanaan from Andretti Autosport. The Speedway’s holiday food drive is underway, with a goal of collecting 13,000 non-perishable food items for Indiana families in need. A list of Indianapolis-area drop-off locations (plus a link for online donations) can be found here
