After an extra week to recuperate from a memorable season opener, the IZOD IndyCar Series gets back to work this weekend in St. Petersburg, Florida. Tomorrow marks the start of the Honda Grand Prix of St. Petersburg weekend, which will also feature the season opener for Firestone Indy Lights as well as action from the other two “Road to Indy” ladder leagues, Star Mazda and the U.S. F2000 National Championship. Of course, the main event comes Sunday (3:30 p.m. ET on ABC, IMS Radio, IndyCar.com) and if you watch the virtual lap video above, you’ll see what the IndyCar drivers and teams will have to contend with on this 1.8-mile temporary circuit.
