Danica Patrick, Tony Kanaan, Ed Carpenter and other IZOD IndyCar Series drivers got in a test session earlier today at the Milwaukee Mile in advance of the series’ return to the legendary track on June 17-19. Only one incident marred proceedings, as Dale Coyne Racing rookie James Jakes stuffed his No. 18 machine into the Turn 2 wall (he’s fine).
Tomorrow will feature Firestone Indy Lights teams trying to get a handle on the flat-as-a-pancake oval in West Allis, with Friday seeing more IndyCar competitors testing.
